Michaela is 1 month!

Sweet M&M,

How can it be that you are already 1 month old! We just love you to death and can't imagine life without you! You are just the cutest thing! We love seeing you and your sister together! You love to watch her and will usually smile! You dont like it when she lays on you or pushes you though!

What you are up to:

-pretty good sleeper and eater

-spit up a lot

-go 1 4 hour stretch btw feedings at night (3 hour sleep stretch)

-eat every 2-3 hours

-can usually stay awake for 45-1 hour including eating at a time

-have a strong neck

-super strong legs...love to stand and push off of us all the time

-the only thing that calms you is to be held/suspended in the air by your arm pits and bounced

-not much on not being held when awake

-hate the swing

-your ok with the bouncy

-nap good in your crib

-had your first outing to Kohls and Dillards when you were just 1 week old

-had your first ER visit when you were just a few days old for jaundice

-had an emergency dr visit on your 1 month birthday for an allergic reaction to something you came in contact with

-you weighed 9lbs 9oz when you went to the dr on 1/22! You definitely eating good and growing! You are still super skinny!

-still wear newborn and some 0-3 but they are super baggy

-newborn diapers

-you haven't slept in your crib at night yet bc we have had lots of visitors but mommy and daddy are more than ready...especially since sister was in hers at 2 weeks!

You are just as precious and beautiful as ever! We just can't get enough of you! All mommy needs to do now is teach you to be happy not being held all the time! :) We can't wait to see what you do and how you change in the next month! We love you sweet pea!

Some have asked about her name and what it means and were we got it so here it is:

Michaela: Josh's middle name is Michael and Michaela is the female form of Michael; meaning is one who is like God

Marie: since Adah has a family middle name and we all have middle names that start with M we figured we keep the trend! Marie comes from both of Michaela's living Grandmothers! Josh's grammie's middle name is Marie and my grandma's name is Mary and Marie is a form of Mary! So we wanted to honor both of them!
